FRANKLINVILLE — Franklinville Central School senior Lilah Cudney has committed to continue her academic and athletic career at SUNY Canton, where she will compete as a member of the women’s ice hockey team.
Cudney has been a standout member of the Franklinville/Forestville/Lake Shore/Olean/Pine Valley (FFLOP) hockey team for a number of years. Cudney currently serves as team captain for the 2024-25 FFLOP team. Her strong presence on the blue line has earned her consecutive league All-Star selections and helped lead her team to both a Section VI championship and a regional championship during the 2024-25 season.
Cudney has earned many achievements over her junior/senior high hockey career. She was a 2020 USA Hockey New York State District Champion at the 12U Tier 1 level and repeated the feat in 2022 at the 14U Tier 1 level, both with the Amherst Lady Knights. That same year, she competed on the national stage at the USA Hockey Nationals. In 2023, she and her team earned the Runner-Up title at the 16U Tier 1 level in the New York State District.
Off the ice, Cudney is the President of the FCS Class of 2025 and a member of the National Honor Society. She maintains a 4.0 GPA.
Lilah’s commitment to SUNY Canton marks the next exciting chapter in an already remarkable career. Her dedication and passion for the sport will make her a great fit for the “Roo’s”. FCS is confident that she will excel academically and athletically at SUNY Canton.
